PSP Linux has been released.
There are no screenshots, but the kernel patch looks genuine.

I don’t know what I’d do with this, but I want one.

Tux Droid ONLY works on systems running Linux, NOT Windows PCs or Macintoshes.

The British Gas Website sucks.
I registered, they sent me an email with a link to validate my email address.
I click the link, enter my password and it says “Congratulations! Your registration with britishgas.co.uk is complete. You can now manage your account, enter meter reads, view and pay bills online.”
but when I login it says “Your email address has not been validated.” and then sends me another email with a link to validate my email address.
I’m stuck in an infinite loop, so what do I do?
Use the contact form to tell them?
Well I filled it in, but when I press submit it says “A System Error has occured. Please try again.”
Another infinite loop!
I’ll say it again, the British Gas Website sucks.
Oh, and they can’t even spell “occurred”.
Update:
The contact form does actually work, it just always reports an error.
It sends me a copy of the email it sends, and that does not contain my comments.
They do seem to have got my comments though, as I’ve since had an emailed reply and a telephone call!
I can now log in!

After upgrading from Ubuntu Feisty to Ubuntu Gutsy, I have a problem with the second head of my dual head setup.
This head is for TV output, so it is 720×576.
I had no problems before upgrading, but afterwards:
- I can only see half of the gnome panel at the top.
- I can’t see the panel at the bottom at all.
- When I maximise a program, or use a fullscreen video player, it maximises to 1280×1024, and I can only see the top left of the window.
The Xorg log looks ok:
$ egrep “1280|1024|720″ /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(II) NVIDIA(0): “1280×1024″
(II) NVIDIA(0): “1024×768″
(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 1280 x 1024
(II) NVIDIA(1): “720×576″
(II) NVIDIA(1): Virtual screen size determined to be 720 x 576
(II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode “1280×1024″
(II) NVIDIA(1): Setting mode “720×576″
xdpyinfo shows nothing unusual:
$ xdpyinfo | grep dimensions
dimensions: 1280×1024 pixels (382×302 millimeters)
dimensions: 720×576 pixels (185×146 millimeters)
Can someone please explain what is causing this.
Thanks.
Update: This was Debian bug 420679. Now fixed
